New York State makes it necessary that all construction employees associated with public works have a 10 hr Construction OSHA Card. New York City mandates that construction workers linked to projects which require a Site Safety Plan, being over 100,000 sq ft or over 10 stories high have a 10 Hr Construction OSHA Card that has been given within the past 5 years. Various State, Local, and Private Industries require 30 hr Construction OSHA Cards for foreman and supervisors.
Having the right safety courses and certifications like osha 10 hour training is truly beneficial to an organization not just in avoiding penalties from OSHA but for productivity. Knowledgeable workers will be safer in the workplace and they will surely produce more results compared to regular employees without the education.
