Massachusetts - The new EPA rules requires the certification of lead to renovate, repair and painting (RRP) that alters work within 6 feet or 20 square meters outside the center where children under 6 years are present or visit regularly.
How to Obtain Lead Paint Certification?
Renovator can earn an EPA lead safe certification; the contractor must carry EPA-accredited training. Some of the entrepreneurs, who are already certified to work as a lead-based paint is only required to take refresher training exercises.
EPA is straightening the new regulations in phases and already available and accessible throughout.
If customized by the contractor, they must use a certified remodeler’s acceptable test kit to see if lead paint is present in the work surface. You will also have staff on board and be on site during the stages of renovation, repair, or painting.
